Trampoline Fun!

The kids and I went on a playdate a few days ago to a place called Jump On It. They have trampolines connected along an entire wall- it's really fun! Brighton was a great big sister and helped Brooklyn to not be afraid.

Logan's EEG experience

Here is Logan - back in the hospital. :( The doctor wanted him to have another EEG to rule out any seizure activity before we take him off his medication.

This was a sleep deprived test, so we woke him up at 5am, and kept him up until his test at 11:00. He was sooo tired, he was trying to fall asleep sitting upright! Poor kiddo.

He was really ticked off at how much they were messing with his head. They had to measure, then mark his head, then dab on some goo, then clean it off, then attach the lead with some more goo. After they wrapped him all up, I was supposed to get him to fall asleep!

Success!!! Poor guy was completely exhausted. We won't have the results for a week, so we're keeping our fingers crossed!

Pretend summer!

Brighton wanted to pretend it was summer yesterday- wishful thinking!- so we had a picnic in our front room. Brighton pulled on shorts and a short-sleeved shirt on top of her winter shirt. Brooklyn just took off her pants and diaper- to be in the spirit, I guess. :) Silly girls!

Update in progress...

I'm working on jazzing the blog up a little, so be patient as I tweak and fine-tune!!

www.homestarrunner.com

Okay, I just want to share a website that I like a little too much. It is really random, so if you like Nap Dynamite, it's probably your style. It's clean and just hilarious! It's hard to describe, so just go check it out. Strong Bad emails are probably the most popular things. Be sure to check out the one called "dragon". Have fun, let me know if you liked it or just thought it was too weird!

Temple Open House

This last weekend we were able to visit the Rexburg Idaho Temple open house. It is such a beautiful temple, and I was excited for the girls to be able to go inside. When James and I go to the temple, Brighton asks if we are getting married. Again. :) It was nice to be able to see all the rooms and explain a little bit of why we go. There is cute wheat motif that is scattered through the temple. What a great opportunity for members, but especially non-members to see inside our temple and dispel the mysticism of what goes on inside. We even got cookies at the end of the tour!

Pair of Prunes

The girls took a two hour bath the other day- thanks to some great new bath toys (thanks, Laura!) They wanted to take a picture of their wrinkly hands and feet. Silly girls!

Puzzles!

Recently I've gotten into a puzzles fad, so here is a picture of my last completed puzzle. Actually, after this puzzle I decided I didn't like puzzles after all. There was a ton of blue sky and the puzzle pieces where all random shapes. I would just have to try one piece after another... who said puzzles were fun?!!

Logan crawls?

It seems that Logan is starting to get a move on. He doesn't lift up on his knees, but I wonder if our industrial grade carpet has anything to do with that. I don't like to kneel on it, it's pretty uncomfortable. So he's got this army crawl thing going on- I just noticed it yesterday. I'm not sure if I caught it on the video or not. 7 months- so I guess I'll have to start vacuuming more often! :)

Oh, we went to the doctor for a checkup a few days ago and he wants Logan to have another EEG. :( Not until the end of the month, but he has to be sleep deprived, so I'm NOT looking forward to that. If everything looks okay he gets to come off his medicine. We'll keep you posted!

Are you sleeping daddy?

Funny story- yesterday at church, James was resting his head on the bench in front of us. He was resting his eyes (so he says) when Brooklyn yells, "Wake up Daddy!" We got a lot of attention and James was pretty embarrassed. However, he likes to make up games that involve him sleeping and the girls have to do crazy things to wake him up (such a dad game). So it really is his own fault! :) Hee hee!

comments, anyone?

Could I have a few comments so I know that I'm not making this for my own benefit? I hope you enjoy reading about what is going on in our lives!

Masterpiece Puppet Theatre

Brighton has been having fun with this today. She introduces the characters- Dragon and Lion (clap for them Mommy!) and then tells stories about these two friends that like to play together but sometimes eat each other. What a goose~ thanks McKenna for a great gift!
Brooklyn plays too, but mostly climbs through the opening like a tunnel. That usually upsets the story. :)

My little cowboy!

On New Year's Day I went up to Park City with two of my good friends- Elisabeth Karlsson and Rachel Matteson. We found some good deals, but this is my favorite. A $2 cowboy hat- isn't it cute!! Of course, the girls want James and I to be horses so they can "giddyup". I should have seen that coming. :)

This deserves its own post-

This nativity was handmade by James' dad- he poured the molds, painted and glazed and everything!! Our first nativity- we're thrilled to have it. Beautiful!

Christmas Day!!!

A few shots of Christmas morning. We looked at our stockings and the gifts that Santa had left. Then we had breakfast- Christmas Quiche and cinnamon rolls, mmm!
After that we took about two hours to unwrap presents, taking lots of breaks to play with our new goodies.
Brighton's favorite: princess dresses
Brooklyn's favorite: baby doll
Logan's favorite: crochet carrot and banana to chew on
James' favorite: navitity set
Brittany's favorite: electric blanket
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

The Day Before the Day!

Making a gingerbread house on the day before Christmas. I think we'll make it a tradition- the girls had a lot of fun.
