Happy Valentine's Day!!

I'm back!! Sorry, on valentine's day I was really really sick. Like in bed all day sick. I'm slowly feeling better, so I'll give you an update on my holiday. My family has this tradition that we handmake valentine's and swap them. I really enjoy this tradition, it is one of my favorite things that my family does. It's fun to get packages and see what everyone did. I made cute butterfly valentine's with pixy stix(you make my heart "flutter"), but I'll have to post a pic later. For James, I made him a coupon booklet- so cute! I got it at Pebbles, and helped the girls make a poster of the things they love about daddy. And they picked out a candy bar to surprise him with. We were planning on taking it to his work for him to find, but he ended up working the last shift so that plan was spoiled. Brighton is really enjoying having secrets and surprises, and is getting better at not telling them! She gets too excited. :)

Every v-day we have had together James has made me a special dinner, and he's started to throw in more surprises each year. He surprised me by taking me to see The Met's Manon Lescaut, which was streamed live to the movie theatre. That was fabulous, and on the way home he told me that I was also getting a thermal mud wrap at Bon Losee! I was apprehensive about that- knowing little about what that entailed, and glad that I had shaved my legs the day before. The wrap was wonderful- but ladies, what I was and wasn't wearing!!! Here is a picture, just so you can see how ridiculous these "disposable bra and panties" were!

I was looking at these, trying to figure out if there was any way I could put them on so they would cover more of me! Oh well, I loved the pampering, so I guess I can put up with a little nudity. Make that a lot of nudity. :)

And then James made a fabulous dinner of ribs, twice baked potatoes- complete with fruit and green salad, sparkling juice and dessert. I love you honey!!

little updates

This is Brighton after winning at her Pretty Princess game. She wins pretty much every time- big surprise- and we play it at least once a day. Thanks for the great gift Grandma Linda!!
On a side note- it's pretty cute to see James play it with her. He looks beautiful in earrings. :)

I've been telling everyone about these, so I thought I'd just post a picture. My bishop's wife brought some of these to an activity and I fell in love with them and bought them before the week was through. They are out of iron- and I got the whole fam for $22! I wanted to screw them into the wall, but James wouldn't let me put any more holes in the walls, since we're only living here for a few more months. He's such a spoilsport!! I told him that he was oppressing the people. teehee! This is my no-hole solution, hanging them from the top of the door.

This is what we have to look at ALL DAY!! My little plumber- she is so skinny that none of her pants stay up. I'm constantly asking her to pull up her pants. They fall off sometimes if she runs. :)

Brighton is starting to draw these kind of pictures, which I'm sure have a name but I don't know what it is. The circle with the stick legs, that one. This is a picture of Aunt Bonnie. Notice the matching hairdo's.

I cut Brooklyn's hair a few weeks ago to chin length, which just looks pretty darn cute.

Logan update

Logan's doctor finally called, and his EEG results came back normal! Which means that I can take him off his anti-seizure medication. Heehee, some of you know what that's funny. Maybe finally we can put this whole thing behind us.

But seriously, it still haunts me. I've realized that I have no control over what happens to my family and precious children. I used to be the one that thought bad things happened to other people, not to me. I check to make sure Logan is breathing every time I lay him down for a nap. I scare myself maybe once a week when I check on him and he looks gray because of dim light, and for a second I tell myself that he's dead. Then I realize that he IS breathing, and I go cry in the bathroom for a minute until I can stop shaking. It used to be every day, so I'm doing better! Anyways- I hope you all appreciate your kids and how wonderful they are, and what life would be like without them.

Brick Oven!

On my list of "things to do before leaving Provo" was going to Brick Oven - so here we are! The best part was these really cool balloon animals, er... balloon princesses. Pretty impressive!!

Reason for loving Wymount #17

Industrial grade carpet!! This love has many sub-categories,
but the best is that you can stick masking tape to it and make cool roads for your cars. Actually, the girls and I talked about making this all morning, and then after taking 5 minutes to make it, they played with it for about 2 minutes. Then they ran off to play Cinderella with their dress-ups for the umpteenth time. A boy would think this is cool, right?!! Tell me my creative talents won't be wasted forever!!

More good reasons to love the carpet:

You can sweep it. Really- works great in a pinch!

You can do puzzles on it.

Easy to clean poop, pee, paint, and most other substances. (Like things that don't start with the letter "p".)

Brighton's Birthday!!

Brighton turned 4 this past Monday (Jan 28th), and here I am finally posting pictures of her party. She invited 11 friends- which was a bit much for my 750 square foot apartment! We made princess (and prince) crowns, played a game, chowed down on an AMAZING cake that James created, and opened gifts. Whew! It was a crazy party. Happy birthday Brighton!!
